Autumn Leaves is one of the best known and best loved minor key jazz standards, and perfect for the jazz violinist. In this lesson I examine various simple approaches to soloing. Firstly, using the natural minor scale, then the harmonic minor scale. We then try the minor pentatonic and minor blues scales, before finally treating the sequence as a series of II/V/I's. USB Mic Setup on Windows 10 #shorts USB Mic not working well on Windows 10? Here are three tips to improve your setup in less than 60 seconds. This video was filmed on Windows 10 using the Audio Techncia AT2020USB+ USB Microphone. It works fine, but there are a couple of things you need to know. ✅ Tip 1: Make sure you download and install any drivers - most USB mics are plug and play, but not all ✅ Tip 2: Right-click the speaker icon in the Windows task bar, or search for the Sound Settings app. Open up the Microphone Privacy Settings and check you have not blocked the mic from working! (Sometimes it defaults to this, and you have to change it) ✅ Tip 3: Open up the Sound Control Panel, click on the Recording tab, and make sure your USB mic is the default recording device. Then click on the Properties button and the Levels tab - often when you plug in a USB mic the level seems to default to a really low level. You can increase it here ✅ ** Bonus Tip ** If you cannot hear anything after plugging in your USB mic, it may have become the default playback device! Plug headphones into your mic to hear what is going on. Or change the default playback device to your computer speakers if you prefer.
