Tarbolton Reel - Trad Irish Fiddle Lesson by Kevin Burke
We hope you have enjoyed this performance and sample lesson from Kevin. To view tons of other Trad Irish fiddle lessons taught by Fiddlevideo instructors, head here: https://bit.ly/2QPbB5x Feel free to share! Fiddlevideo.com lessons include sheet music, guitar backup tracks, multiple instructional videos, A/B video looping, video speed controls, and much more. The Tarbolton is a great Trad Irish reel which was recorded in a set of three tunes by Michael Coleman in 1934. This tune is likely of Scottish origin and is many times associated with the Tarbolton Lodge in the Scottish county of Ayrshire. This tune is played out of the key of Em, and it’s a great tune choice for a beginner to intermediate-level player. See The Longford Collector for the second tune in this medley, and The Sailor’s Bonnet for the third. Kevin Burke walks us through his version of the tune in this lesson.

How To Record and Stream Acoustic Guitar and Vocals – Beginner’s Guide

How To Record and Stream Acoustic Guitar and Vocals – Beginner’s Guide If you sing and play acoustic guitar and you want to start doing livestream performances or get into recording your songs – but you are totally unsure about where to start with the studio gear you might need – then this video is for you! It’s a complete beginners guide to capturing your vocals and guitar on your computer. I teamed up with Lynz Crichton, a proudly independent musician, who has mastered the art of live streaming guitar and vocals. She has a very simple recording setup which allows her to connect with her audience each week in her Two For Tuesday livestreams. PLUS, she has used the exact same equipment to record her fabulous vocals and guitar and then produce and master her recordings in Garageband and Logic. In this video she talks us through her setup which is centred around a Focusrite iTrack. She bought this when it was available in a Studio Pack. You can still purchase the iTrack, but if you want to buy a whole 'studio in a box' then you could look at the Focusrite Scarlett Solo Studio. However ANY 2-channel audio interface that has a microphone input and instrument input will do the job. Keep scrolling to get links to the gear! Plus if you want to connect with Lynz, you can do that right here ... Thanks for watching. Comments, suggestions, questions? Please post them! We love to read them, and it will help us help you out further. ❤️ CONNECT WITH LYNZ ❤️ Book a 30 minute call to talk about your struggles gaining traction with your music business https://bit.ly/LynzStrategyCall Lynz on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/LynzCrichton Lynz on Instagram https://bit.ly/3cCVa8Y Lynz on Facebook https://bit.ly/2NToVb4 Lynz Channel on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/lynzcrichton Get Lynz's Top 10 Tips for Aspiring Musicians https://bit.ly/3c2SQI0 Website https://bit.ly/3yrq381 🔥 LYNZ'S STUDIO GEAR - AND OTHER COOL STUFF 🔥 Focusrite iTrack Solo: https://bit.ly/3hxgygK Focusrite Scarlett Solo Studio: https://bit.ly/3cPQYmo Focusrite Scarlett Studio 2i2 Audio Interface: https://bit.ly/3qJ2G7g Lynz's video on Live-Streaming for Musicians https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7x-sffR8Iys (**Please note these are affiliate links. Last of the Mohicans (fiddle lesson)
The theme from the Last of the Mohicans, also known as Promontory, or The Gael, makes a great, easily recognisable fiddle tune. In this lesson I demonstrate the simple melody, and show how the ornamentation can be varied to good effect for variety and convenience. I also show the melody up an octave.
