Cable To Mic Port: Connect And Record Your Keyboard Lesson 3

Cable To Mic Port: Connect And Record Your Keyboard Lesson 3 Cable To Mic Port: Connect And Record Your Keyboard Lesson 3 Whether you want to record your keyboard on your windows laptop, mac, or iPad, it is possible to do this with just a simple audio cable. You can connect from the audio ouptput of your keyboard/digital piano to the microphone port of your computer. If you have a windows laptop or desktop computer, then you should have an 1/8" microphone input that you can use to record. You will need to be very careful to turn the volume of your keyboard and the input level of the microphone port right down when connecting and then gradually raise the levels. You should also turn off the microphone boost. If you have a macbook with microphone port, or one with the combined headphone/microphone port you will also be able to record with a simple cable, but you will need triple ring adapter, which I will show in a later video in this playlist. Same applies if you have an iPad. So in this video I just take a look at the output port on my keyboard, and the input port on the macbook and windows laptop. Then if you keep watching the videos in the playlist, I will show you how to record your keyboard with a simple audio cable on windows laptop, then the macbook, then the iPad. You can do all this with free software so this is a real budget way of making a recording. Here is a link to the cable I used in this video - you may need a different cable depending on the output of your keyboard or piano, and if you have a macbook/ipad you will also need an adapter. Embrace the Grind (15.3)
Sometimes you just have to learn to embrace the grind and fight through to reach your end goal. When attacking the task of getting my first muscle up during 15.3, I failed repeated, rep and rep, for over 9 minutes. Coach Gus just kept telling me "once you feel yourself getting on top, you just have to fight through that discomfort and hold on! Then you will have it!". And he was definitely right. This can carry over into any obstacle your trying to get past: there will be times where you are uncomfortable, but learning to dig deep and get through them is the only way to get where you want to be.

I'll be honest with you I am not a big fan of Windows 8 or 7 but I will learn to love it as I learned to love XP and sort of loved Vista. My choice was to go with a Dell Inspiron 3000 series desktop. To be exact the INSPIRON 3847 with 8 GB of Ram, Inter i5-4460 CPU 3.20 GHxz and Windows 8.1 The reason I wanted to upgrade now was 1. It was Christmas and I have been a good boy 2. The Vista PC was making weird noises. Want to grab your own INSPIRON 3847? Digital Piano Outputs: Connect And Record Your Keyboard Lesson 2

Digital Piano Outputs: Connect And Record Your Keyboard Lesson 2 Digital Piano Outputs: Connect And Record Your Keyboard Lesson 2 This is the second video in our complete guide to connecting and recording your keyboard on your PC, iPad or Mac. In the first video in this series you learned the difference between Audio recording (recording the SOUND of your keyboard) and MIDI recording (transmitting performance data to and from your digital piano. In this second video we will take a close look at the back of some typical digital pianos and MIDI keyboards so you can see exactly where the sound (audio) is transmitted from, and where the MIDI data goes in and out. Somewhere on your digital piano or keyboard you will have a line out, or aux out, or at least a headphone output so that you can connect and audio cable and record the sound. You can either connect this output directly to your computer - something we will look at in the next video - or you can connect it up to an audio interface (again we will look at this in detail later on). You will probably have standard MIDI ports so that you can use your keyboard or piano as a MIDI controller, and/or you may have the ability to connect your keyboard via USB. In fact USB is becoming the standard and often you won't have the MIDI ports. Generally you cannot record the SOUND of your keyboard or piano from the USB connection, it is for transmitting MIDI information. So you can use your keyboard as a MIDI controller via USB. And you might be able to save and edit song data if your keyboard allows this. (This is a common feature of Yamaha and Casio keyboards). If you are still not sure of the difference between Audio and MIDI then go back to the first video in the series here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeHrtSVcm0s Otherwise, make sure you subscribe to our channel so that you can follow the rest of this video series where you will learn step by step how to record the sound of your keyboard and how to use it as a MIDI controller. We will be covering how to record your digital piano or keyboard in Audacity and other Digital Audio Workstation Software (DAW) plus how to make a MIDI connection and use your keyboard as a controller. https://www.youtube.com/MusicRepoCom Useful links for home studio recording: You may find some of the following links useful: A guide to digital audio http://bit.ly/1eysFr8 What is digital audio http://bit.ly/1CkZIuf MIDI Manufacturer's Association http://www.midi.org/ Recording the sound of your keyboard http://bit.ly/1eysFYc Making a MIDI connection from your keyboard http://bit.ly/1CkZIuh Stage and Studio Audio Cables On Amazon http://bit.ly/1CkZIui MIDI Interfaces on Amazon http://bit.ly/1eysFrd Audio Interfaces on Amazon http://bit.ly/1eysFYj Record Audio Like A Pro: Complete Step-By-Step Course http://bit.ly/1CkZGCs Visit our web site for helpful guides, hints tips and more on setting up your home recording studio: http://bit.ly/1JBIEQ3 Check out the Music Repo Channel on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/MusicRepoCom Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/musicrepo Connect with us on Facebook: http://on.fb.me/1CkZGCu Find us on Pinterest: http://bit.ly/1eysFrn

Pixelmator Tutorial: Basic Overview & Photoshop Comparison
In this video I take you on a quick look around the photo editing program known as Pixelmator. We take a quick look at the set up, editing tools, pallets and more. What is Pixelmator? Pixelmator is a “photoshop-like” software for use on Mac and iPad. It’s an outstanding program that has just about anything the average parent could want or need. Pixelmator is priced at just $29.99! They also offer a free trial if you want to get your feet wet and see if it’s for you. http://bit.ly/1GUagg7 Photoshop & Lightroom Photoshop & Lightroom are the absolute best in my opinion. We will be making videos on both these programs in the future. I wanted to start with Pixelmator because it’s extremely similar to Photoshop, in terms of work flow and tools. However, many people haven’t heard about Pixelmator. Though Photoshop is the best, the truth is the average user won’t use a third of it’s capabilities. Pixelmator is a very powerful editing software that has all the most commonly used Photoshop features and it’s far less expensive. You can get Photoshop & Lightroom for a monthly subscription of just $10. That’s a great price however, assuming you’re going to want to edit your photos for a long time, the savings with Pixelmator is large. In this video I briefly show you the Photoshop and Lightroom workstations so you can see the differences. Easy Milk and Soap Experiment
My niece wanted to do this Easy Milk and Soap Experiment. She explained it to me, and I decided that it would be a good outside activity! We did it several times, using different colors of food coloring and making different patterns. The soap binds to the fat molecules in the milk, just like it does on dirty dishes. The food coloring has no effect on the experiment, but it allows you to see the movement of how the soap attaches to the milk molecules. My niece didn't understand the science behind how the food coloring reacts, but she loved watching all of the colors swirl and mix. My niece is 9 years old, and patience isn't her strong suit, and since the results are instant, it was a perfect activity to do with her. Here are a few tips for doing the Easy Milk and Soap Experiment: 1. This will work best with whole milk. 2. Any type of liquid dish soap will work. 3. Food coloring stains, so be very careful. Doing it outside makes for easy cleanup. 4. Instead of dropping the dish liquid, dip a cotton swap into the dish liquid and touch the soapy end to the food coloring, and then touching a different spot. The designs it makes are very cool!
