Record Keyboard With Audio Interface On Windows: Lesson 9

Record Keyboard With Audio Interface On Windows: Lesson 9 Record Keyboard With Audio Interface On Windows: Lesson 9 Learn how to record the sound of your digital piano or keyboard on a Windows laptop or pc, step-by-step, using a dedicated audio interface. In this video, lesson 9 in a whole series on connecting and recording your keyboard on your computer, I show you how to set up your interface in the Windows control panel, once you have correctly installed it following the manufacturer's instructions. The next part of the tutorial shows you how to connect from the audio output of your keyboard to the line input of the interface, and then make a simple recording of your piano playing in Audacity. Audacity is a very simple DAW (digital audio workstation) that is completely free and a good start if you are new to recording. Once you have made some basic recordings you can progress onto more complex software with more comprehensive features. Most recording interfaces come with some kind of recording software to get you started and you should be able to make quite a professional recording. The audio interface is really at the heart of any home recording studio setup so it is worth taking time to think about the features you want. In lesson 8 I talked about what I think are essential things to look for if you want to record your keyboard and possibly record vocals on the top. Get Audacity here - it is completely free and very easy to use http://bit.ly/1UnaB36 Then when you are ready to progress, here is a direct link to more advanced recording software http://bit.ly/1hj3jPJ More info here about choosing an audio interface: http://bit.ly/1Unazsj And a direct link here to audio interfaces for sale http://bit.ly/1eysFYj Plus the cables you might need to connect from keyboard/piano to interface http://bit.ly/1IgZl0T Read a bit more about sound cards and audio interfaces on Wikipedia http://bit.ly/1hj3jPN And do check out channel for more videos in this complete step-by-step course on how to record your keyboard https://www.youtube.com/user/MusicRepoCom Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/musicrepo Connect with us on Facebook: http://on.fb.me/1CkZGCu Find us on Pinterest: http://bit.ly/1eysFrn
