Record Separate Channels On Any Audio Mixer - Get 2 Separate Tracks Can you record two separate audio channels on any mixer? Yes, you can get 2 separated tracks by adjusting the panning. However they do output stereo, or left and right audio. S0, if you hard pan one channel left and another channel all the way to the right, you can record a stereo file that will contain microphone one only on the left side and microphone two only on the right. Or you can set up your DAW to record two separate mono tracks – one from the left and one from the right. This allows you to give each track its own customized FX within the DAW, as well as remove unwanted audio that would otherwise be blended together with the other channel. Great if you want to record two separate sources, such as a guitar and a mic at the same time – but on separate tracks. It’s also excellent for podcasters who have two hosts and want to record audio of each on their own track for further processing in the edit.
