HELP! I Can't Get My Patches Evened Out!
One of the cool things about playing electric strings is that we can create a LOT of different sounds. But if your distortion sound and your wah sound and your clean sound aren't all the same volume, that can be really annoying for your bandmates and your engineer. In this video, we talk about what knobs to turn (on stomp boxes and multi-effects pedals) but, more importantly, how to know which way to turn them. Leveling out your patches is not nearly as simple as it sounds. We'll dig a little bit into the science behind why and discuss some of the tools you may have at your disposal to get it all figured out.
