How To Add Your Own Music Tracks to Spotify 2021 - Mac/PC/Android/iOS How do you add music tracks to Spotify that are not already in the Spotify library? In this step-by-step tutorial, I show you how to add songs to Spotify that are not on Spotify. This means you can upload any song (including your own songs) to Spotify and listen to them on your computer, iPhone, and Android phone. Adding songs to Spotify is easy but not immediately obvious! I have found this to be *extremely useful* for anyone learning to play a musical instrument - or sing. If you want to learn tunes that are not in the Spotify library, and yet that is your preferred way to play music. PLUS if you have CD's of backing tracks or similar content, it is super useful to be able to access it from Spotify so you can play back through your guitar amp, bluetooth speaker, or any other playback device that you would normally use. Once you have added your music, you can listen to it on any device, but only if you have Spotify premium. Brand new tutorial for 2021. Follow the steps below to add songs to Spotify: 1. Open the Spotify app on your desktop computer and login to your Spotify account. 2. Open the Spotify settings by selecting the 3 dots in the top left of the app (PC) and then selecting edit and Preferences, or click the down arrow next to your name in the top right hand corner (Mac and PC) 3. Once in the Spotify settings toggle switch to turn on Local Files. 4. To add any folders on your PC or Mac containing music select Add a Source then find the folder containing your songs. 5. Now create a playlist - name it and add a picture so that you can easily find it in your Spotify library 6. Navigate to local files in your library - on PC click the link to local files on left hand side of screen. On Mac, navigate to your library the click the square which says local files. 7. Use a search term to bring up the songs - usually they will be off an album or disk of tracks. Then click and highlight and right-click to add to your newly created playlist. 8. The playlist should now appear in your Spotify library on your mobile devices. Simply download the tracks so that you can then access them on either Android or iOS device. NB for this to work your computer and mobile devices must all be connected to the same network. Sometimes it may be necessary to sign out and sign back in again.
