Wellerman -sea shanty (fiddle lesson)
Here's a fiddle lesson on The Wellerman. This is a sea shanty made famous by Nathan Evans and the Longest Johns. I show the basic melody, with onscreen sheet music, in the key of Cm, plus the more fiddle friendly Dm. I suggest some ornaments, drones and double stops, and demonstrate some possible backing fiddle parts.
